Mourinho gets warning from sought after Chelsea star

Thibaut Courtois has warned Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho he will not return to Stamford Bridge to sit on the bench, and could leave if he is not number one The highly-rated Belgian goalkeeper is currently in his third season on loan at Atletico Madrid and has attracted interest from across Europe with his fine performances at the Vicente Calderon Stadium. Chelsea are not thought to be interested in selling Courtois, who is regarded as Petr Cech’s successor between the sticks, but it seems Mourinho could have a tough decision to make at the end of the season. ‘I want to play, I will not be sitting on the bench,’ Courtois said. ‘At Atletico I feel great and being here allows me to play in the Champions League. I’ve grown a lot at Atletico, especially last season when we won the European Super Cup and the Copa del Rey. ‘I’ve made great progress, especially in terms of speed, reflexes and experience. I am in my best form and I feel like I am among the five best goalkeepers in the world.’ (Metro) The lad is real quality and the blues will be disappointed if he leaves
