23-Year Old Man Forces Girlfriend To Drink Conc. Acid For Dumping Him

A 23-year-old man, Christian Samuel, has
been remanded in the Ikoyi Prison by an
Ebute Meta Magistrate’s Court for
allegedly killing his girlfriend, Ijeoma
Nwachukwu.
And according to Punch, the police said
Samuel forced Ijeoma, 26, who he had
been dating for sometime to drink acid
while they were together at Cossy-Inn
Hotel, Abule-Oshun, Lagos State. 23 years
old Samuel had found out Ijeoma got
engaged to another man without telling
him. He pretended as if nothing
happened and invited the deceased to the
hotel on January 11, 2014, then allegedly
forced her to drink the acid, leading to
her death.
It was learnt that Samuel abandoned
Ijeoma’s corpse in the hotel and fled. The
owner of the hotel, Olusegun Sangojumo,
discovered the corpse, but did not report
to the police. Instead, the 64-year-old
called his manager, Kehinde Ajibola, and
one of the workers, Azeez Olaitan, to
dispose of the corpse at the Mile 2 end of
the Lagos-Badagry Expressway. The police
eventually discovered the corpse and in
the course of investigation, rounded up
all the suspects.
While Samuel was arraigned for murder,
the other three suspects were arraigned
and granted bail for accessory after the
fact. The matter has been adjourned till
April 2, 2014 pending legal advice from
the Directorate of Public Prosecution.

A Christian man in Ohio, United States of
America, Rickey Wagoner, is big a sign
that miracles happen after he escaped
death as a result of a Bible which was
inside his pocket. Rickey, 49yrs old driver,
was attacked and shot thrice after being
waylaid by three thugs. Two of the three
bullets went into the bible while a third
struck Rickey in the hip.
According to NYDaily, Rickey stopped his
bus around 5:20am on Monday after an
electrical problem. When he pulled over
to the curb to investigate, three
dangerous thugs attacked and shot him
with live bullets.

Rickey survived after a copy of “The

from shattering his chest. The only bullet

involved in this incident, because he
probably should not be here [he should
be dead],” said a police sergeant, Michael
Pauley.
“Amazingly, his injuries are not life
threatening. He basically said he fought

Sanusi Sues President Jonathan, Questions His Suspension From Office

Suspended Governor of the Central Bank
of Nigeria, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, has
dragged President Goodluck Jonathan
before a Federal High Court siting in
Abuja over his suspension from office.
The ousted apex bank boss is urging the
court to restrain the president, the
attorney general of the federation and the
inspector general of police from giving
effect to his purported suspension from
office as the governor of the Central Bank
of Nigeria, pending the determination of
his suit.
He also wants the court to make an order
of interlocutory injunction restraining the
defendants from obstructing, disturbing,
stopping or preventing him in any
manner whatsoever from performing the
functions of his office as the Governor of
the Central Bank of Nigeria and enjoying
in full, the statutory powers and privileges
attached to the office of the governor of
Central Bank of Nigeria.
In the suit filed on behalf of the ousted
CBN boss by his lawyers led by Chief Kola
Awodein, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria,
Sanusi told the court that his
interlocutory application was necessary
because of the issues raised in the suit
and that delay might likely entail
irreparable and serious damage and
mischief on him in the exercise of his
statutory duties as the CBN governor.
He urged the court to exercise its
discretion in his favour by granting the
interlocutory injunctions as the
president’s continuing unlawful
interference with the management and
administration of the apex bank, unless
arrested, posed grave danger for Nigeria’s
economy and justified the court granting
his application which would result in
maintaining status quo ante bellum for
his return to his office as the governor of
the CBN.
In the affidavit deposed in support of his
application, the suspended CBN boss
averred that in the course of his duties,
that he discovered certain discrepancies
in respect of amounts repatriated to the
federation account from the proceed of
crude oil sales between the period of
January, 2012 and July, 2013 and that he
expressed concern in respect of the said
discrepancies and had cause to inform
the National Assembly of the said
discrepancies because they affected the
revenue of the federation and the
national economy.
He further stated that the actions of
President Goodluck Jonathan, in
purporting to suspend him from office,
was aimed at punishing him for these
disclosures.
He also stated that he was challenging the
president’s power to suspend him from
office noting that the president neither
approached nor obtain the support of the
Senate, based on his discussions with
several senators, including Senator Bukola
Saraki.
“I have been informed, and I verily believe
the information given to me by Senator
Bukola Saraki to be true and correct that
the Senate did not give the president any
support for my purported suspension and
removal from office as the Governor of
the Central Bank of Nigeria.”
Sanusi further stated that the actions of
the president in suspending him from
office was contrary to provisions of the
Central Bank of Nigeria Act relating to the
appointment and removal of the CBN
governor and that his purported
suspension amounts to unlawful
interference in the administration and
management of the apex bank and was
illegal, null and void and urged the court,
in the interest of justice, to grant his
reliefs.
The suit which was filed late Monday
afternoon is still at the Federal High
Court’s Registry in Abuja awaiting to be
assigned to a judge for the hearing of the
suit.

instant millionaires.
The California couple – who are choosing
to remain anonymous – found the 1,427
mint-condition gold coins bruied in the
shadow of an old tree, and they are worth
a staggering £6 million.
The coins date from 1847 to 1894, are in
uncirculated, mint condition, and
although the face value of them only adds
up to about £17k, some of them are so
rare that coin experts say they could fetch
nearly £600k apiece.
Don Kagin, an expert in money collection
who is representing the finders, said of
the record haul: "I don't like to say once-
in-a-lifetime for anything, but you don't
get an opportunity to handle this kind of
material, a treasure like this, ever.
It's like they found the pot of gold at the
end of the rainbow."
Kagin, whose family has been in the rare-
coin business for 81 years, would say little
about the couple other than that they are
husband and wife, are middle-aged and
have lived for several years on the rural
property where the coins were found.
The pair are choosing to remain
anonymous to avoid gold-chasers armed
with metal detectors flooding to their
properties, and also because they don't
want to be treated any differently now

Federal Govt. Drops Plans To Ban Used 'Tokunbo' Vehicles

The Federal Government has reversed its
plans to ban the importation of fairly
used vehicles also known as Tokunbo, in
line with popular opposition to the policy
since it was announced late last year. The
shift in position was taken at the Federal
Executive Council (FEC) meeting
penultimate week, following intense
debate on the issue with the conclusion
that the planned ban was not in the best
interest of the nation’s economy for now.
The Minister of Industry, Trade and
Investment, Dr. Olusegun Aganga,
disclosed this in Kaduna on Friday, during
a facility tour of one of the nation’s
automobile assembly plants, Peugeot
Automobile of Nigeria, Kaduna.
According to him, government has since
realised that despite the laudable
intention of the policy, the prevailing
socio-economic circumstances in the
country for now would not be supportive
of it.
Stakeholders in the import sector who
roundly condemned the plans have been
locked in a fierce debate over its
desirability or otherwise with the
automobile manufacturing industry who
saw the policy as long overdue.
But Aganga said despite the new
automotive policy in place, the
government would not ban the
importation of fairly used vehicles
because of its socio-economic importance
to the country.
Rather than banning, the minister noted
that Nigeria must work towards providing
alternative cars. He said the idea to ban
the imports was aimed at revamping the
auto industry adding that a lot more
needed to be put in place before
adopting such policy because of its
apparent backlash.
The minister, who said he was at PAN to
assess how the automobile company was
taking the opportunity of the new
automotive policy of the government, said
though Tokunbovehicles would still be
imported into the country, government
would do everything possible to ensure
that affordable and new vehicles are
produced for Nigerians.
The minister said, “We studied what was
done in Pakistan, India and South Africa.
It is normal that in most countries they
ban the importation of Tokunbo cars
because that will help the demand of the
local manufacturers.
“However, for Nigeria, we discussed and
we said we are not going to ban Tokunbo
vehicles because of the socio-economic
problems we have in the country. We
must work towards providing alternative
cars before we even consider placing a
ban on them.
“So, in Nigeria we have not banned it yet.
If we slow down the demand, it will slow
down the pace of growth. If you look at
the cars today, for every new car that is
imported, almost six Tokunbo vehicles are
imported into the country. That tells you
that the economy of the country is a
priority.
“When you see that, as a country, you
cannot afford to place a ban. The Federal
Executive Council has said we are not
banning Tokunbo vehicles until we have
alternative for them. So, Tokunbo cars will
still be imported into the country and we
will do everything possible to make sure
we can produce affordable and new cars
for Nigerians. It is important that we
provide an environment and the
alternative for Nigerians before we
embark on banning Tokunbo cars.”

Man Exchanges His 15- Year Old Son For 2 Bags Of Rice

A yet to be identified man on Monday
successfully traded a 15-year old boy,
Seun Aderinwale, for two bags of rice
valued at N20,000 at Igando in Alimosho
area of Lagos State, southwest Nigeria.
According to eyewitness account, the
man, whose address is unknown, went to
4, Ifesowapo Street, Igando, on Monday
morning to buy two bags of rice from a
shop owned by a woman identified as Iya
Ibrahim.
The rice seller was not available at the
time but her son, Ibrahim, agreed to the
man’s proposal to drop Seun, an
Aluminium apprentice, as collateral, in
order to collect the two bags of rice and
return later to pay.
However, when the shop owner returned
in the afternoon, she was surprised to
see Seun who was dropped there in
exchange for the two bags of rice taken
away by the unidentified man.
When the man failed to return, the 15-
year old was held hostage until evening
when the pastor of his church, a Celestial
Church of Christ around the area, saw
him at the shop looking despondent.
When Seun was questioned on how he
came about the fraudster, he said he met
him casually at Hotel Bus Stop about 300
metres to his residence where a church
member had sent him on an errand to
play lotto, popularly known as “Baba
Ijebu”.
Seun said he did not know the man’s
house or have other information about
him.
The teenager later regained his freedom
when the Celestial Church pastor, known
simply as Oluso in the neighborhood,
settled the matter with Iya Ibrahim, the
rice seller.
He said the woman should take
responsibility for one of the stolen bags
of rice while Seun’s father, a co-worker
with him in the church, should pay for
the other bag of rice when he returned
from his trip to Ifo in Ogun State. Seun’s
father agreed to pay N10,000 for the bag
of rice when he returned from Ifo.
P.M.NEWS learnt that the rice seller
agreed to the pastor’s proposal and did
not report the matter to the police.
“If I report the incident to the police, I
cannot leave the station without spending
money.
Therefore, it is better for me to accept the
proposal by Oluso, the rice seller told
residents who gathered in front of her
shop to watch the drama.
When Ibrahim was questioned why he
allowed such an unusual arrangement, he
told residents that the conman asked for
two and half bags of rice, adding, “when
the motorcycle was about to go with the
two bags, I asked for the money but Seun
assured me he was coming back for the
half bag.
He even claimed to be a close relation of
the man.” However, some hours after the
man had disappeared and failed to
return, Ibrahim said Seun retracted his
earlier statement, saying he did not know
the man.

58-Year-Old Woman Calls 911 Twice Begs Police Officers For Séx

An American woman, Maria Montenez-
Colon, was arrested on Friday after calling
911 twice in one evening with quite an
odd "alarming message".
Describing herself as "horny", the lady
allegedly summoned a cop to her home
and tried to have sex with him - pleading
"I haven't been penetrated in years!"
The 58-year-old Maria was arrested Friday
night in the misuse of 911.
The officer drove to her home in Punta
Gorda after she reportedly told a
dispatcher that she wanted her late
husband's Corvette back after giving it to
her son, authorities said.
According to the police officer, he
repeatedly informed the suspect that her
behavior was inappropriate. However, he
desire seemed overwhelming.
Moreover, the woman was said to be
drunk when the officer arrived and
immediately started making sexually
suggestive comments such as "You are so
sexy" and "Are you married?".
The story took a new turn when the
policeman asked how he could help her.
"You can f-k me," was the reply.
After Maria's attempts to rub her hands
across his chest, the officer told her that
her behavior was inappropriate.
"I'm bad, I know," she replied, the report
states.
Before leaving, the officer gave
Montenez-Colon his business card and
advised her to call the police department
through a non-emergency line for non-
emergencies.
However, that very evening the lady dialed
911 a second time to say the last officer

The original officer returned with a
second officer. She explained again that
she called 911 a second time because
their first encounter infuriated her.
"He was a perfect gentleman, but when I
asked him to f-k me, he turned me down
so that made me angry."
The first officer asked if Montenez-Colon
remembered their conversation about not
using 911 in non-emergency
circumstances.
"I do," she allegedly said, "but how else
am I going to get you to f-k me?"
The non-obedient citizen was arrested,
handcuffed and booked into Charlotte
County Jail.

6 Students In Trouble For Gang-Raping A Female Student To Coma In Kwara State

The Commissioner of Police, Kwara State
Command, Mr. Ambrose Aisabo, said on
Friday that the command has arrested
three out of the six students of the state
College of Health and Technology in Offa
town who allegedly r*ped their female
colleague in the institution.
The CP during a media briefing in Ilorin
said the victim was allegedly drugged by
the suspects (names withheld) before
they allegedly r*ped her.
According to the police boss, the suspects
allegedly r*ped the female student
‘mercilessly until she became
unconscious.’ He stated that the female
student was being treated at the
University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital. He
added that the remaining three suspects
would be apprehended and the six

Honestly, some years back, I wanted to
start wearing bum shorts on the TV, but I
was scared of what people would say. But

that?
Honestly, it’s not really a very good
feeling but it’s mixed because whatever
you do, there must be a sacrifice. You
must pay, so I think that’s just the bad
side of it, so I will face it.
Are you in your comfort zone now?
Yes! I would say that, because I’m a crazy
person, I love sex, I love attention, I love
boys, I love music, I love attention, I love
modelling. Everything that I love is what
I’m doing.
You love sex? How much do you love it?
A lot… I’m addicted to sex, and I have to
have sex everyday.
How many times do you have sex in a
day?
At least once everyday, and if there’s no
guy around me, I’ll help myself by
masturbating. I have a lot of sextoys; in
fact, I’m a regular customer. It’s like food
to me, and you have to eat. It is very
healthy and it gives you the right curves
and my body is used to it.
You mean your body needs sex to
function normally?
Yes! Sometimes I just squirt, like when am

You recently shared a story about your
daughter where you said things were
pretty rough at the beginning. What’s
the story?
I got pregnant for my boyfriend about 13
years ago when I was just 17, in Kano. I
think his family was tribalist because they

back then, to leave the baby and go. I
actually wanted to accept the money but I
thought to myself, ‘Hey, you’re an orphan
and this is the only blood you have.’ So, I
left the money and decided to leave with
my daughter.
What was the father’s involvement in
all this?
He was present all through and he never
said anything, which was strange. I think
he respected his family too much to
intervene and fight for his daughter. I
think maybe because she’s a girl, that’s
why he didn’t say anything.
Is he involved in her life?
No. Ever since then it has been just me
and, besides, I don’t want to ask anything
because I know they wanted the child and
not me, and I can’t afford to lose her.
She’s the only thing that I have.
Why did you even consider trading your
daughter for N2million?
Because I was very hungry and I was
coming from a very poor background. My
mum and dad weren’t there. I was 14,
living in the streets, where he met me,
housed, and then I eventually got
pregnant for him when I was 17.
You are based in Holland, how often
does your daughter come to Nigeria?
Not often. We moved to Holland about a
year and six months ago because she
needed to go to high school, and I
wanted it to be there because I don’t
want her to have that ‘Naija mentality’.
What is that?
The Nigerian mentality is very low. It
made me look like a fool the first time I
went to Europe.
What do you mean when you say the
Nigerian mentality is low?
The way we see things, especially seeing
sex as evil and not even talking about it
even though we desire it. Some people
think I’m already possessed, but that’s
not it. We are not taught honour and
there’s just a lot we don’t know.

Whatsapp To Introduce Free Calls For Its 465Million Users From April

WhatsApp Inc., the mobile messaging
service that agreed to be acquired last
week by Facebook Inc. for $19 billion, said
Monday that it would offer voice calling
as early as April, allowing free phone calls
among WhatsApp's 465 million users. Jan
Koum, the co-founder and chief executive
of WhatsApp, also said during a speech at
Mobile World Congress in Barcelona that
he is hoping to grow the service to one or
two billion users. Mr. Koum said that the
WhatsApp voice product would "focus on
simplicity" as it has with its text-based
messaging service. He said that WhatsApp
would first release a version of the voice
service for Apple Inc.'s iPhone and
Google Inc.'s Android platforms, followed
by services for Microsoft Corp.'s Windows
Phone, as well as some phones by
BlackBerry Ltd. and Nokia Corp.
"We want to continue to have that
minimalistic approach to the product," he
said. "We at WhatsApp want to get out of
the way and let people communicate."
Mr. Koum added that the voice product
would "use the least amount of
bandwidth, and we optimize the hell out
of it."
Speaking about the Facebook acquisition
announcement earlier this month, Mr.
Koum said that the product wouldn't
change, stressing that WhatsApp would
remain independent. He cited Instagram's
example, after the acquisition of the
photo-sharing service by Facebook.
Mr. Koum said that WhatsApp was likely
valuable to Facebook because "we both
want to make the world more connected,"
though Mr. Koum stressed that WhatsApp
wanted to know "as little as possible"
about its users, including details such as
a user's name. "There are no plans to
change anything that we do with the
product today," he said, using words like
"minimalistic," "utilitarian" and
"uncluttered" to describe his philosophy.

Secondary School Students Killed In Fresh Attack In Yobe

Gunmen suspected to be members of the
Boko Haram sect have attacked and killed
some students of the Federal Government
College Buni-Yadi in Yobe State north-
east Nigeria.
Witnesses said the students were attacked
in their hostels at night and slain by the
hoodlums instead of the usual gun to
avoid the attention of security men within
town.
The Federal Government College Buni Yadi
is a co-educational institution located
some 55 kilometres south of Damaturu
the Yobe State capital.
The spokesman of the 3 Special Operation
Battalion, Damaturu, Capt Eli Lazarus,
who confirmed the assault on the
innocent students said the casualty figure
is yet to be confirmed because of the
destruction of telecom masts in Buni-
Yadi by the sect.
However, the Hausa Service of the British
Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) is
reporting that about 29 students were
slain during the attack while an unknown
number burnt to ashes.
The service also reports that the
perpetrators of the attack burnt down the
school.
Buni Yadi is the capital of Gujba Local
Government Area of the state.
Today’s attack is the fourth recorded on
schools in Yobe since the commencement
of the insurgency as GSS Damaturu, GSS
Mamudo and College of Agriculture,
Gujba were attacked last year.

Ike Uche Lacks Technical Discipline And Won't Go To The World Cup - Stephen Keshi

Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi has closed
the door on striker Ikechukwu Uche for
the World Cup, saying he lacks tactical
discipline.
Uche has been one of Nigeria’s reliable
goal scorers and has scored 12 goals this
season for Villarreal.
On Monday night, the striker returned to
action after he was sidelined by injury for
two weeks.
He last featured for Nigeria in the final of
the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations against
Burkina Faso.

his base in the United States said,
"Ikechukwu Uche is not a player I have
not seen play. Ike Uche problem is not
knowing how to play football.
“His problem is that he wants to dictate

"Uche he has a very bad habit, that if you
put him in the game he is not playing to
instructions and he did that in the final of
AFCON against Burkina Faso, he almost

“Again he did that against Zambia, in the
second match when (Efe) Ambrose was
given a red card. What we told him to do,

Keshi added: "And if you don't respect

the team, then there is no point. I know
he cannot do that in his club, then why

US Police Hunting For Ex- Governor Uzor Kalu Over The Death of His Girlfriend

Kalu, has gone into hiding
occasioned by the warrant of arrest
against him, issued by the US
government over the murder one of
his girl friends in Kalu's house in
USA few years ago.
It will be recalled that Kalu was
accused of the murder of his
mistress in his Portomarc mansion
after several rounds of "enjoyment"
with the lady who is said to be a
shop attendant in the US.
Ex-Governor Kalu who was in

Kalu when the incident happened
disappeared into the thin air,
escaping arrest...The family of the
deceased with the help of some
well-connected individuals has
been on the case to ensure that
Kalu who has not entered the US
since that period is brought to
book.
It was learnt that the manhunt for Kalu
has started in earnest having been
declared wanted by the authorities.
Further investigations revealed that the
search for Kalu by the Interpol has been
extended to other Countries and Nigeria
is not an exception.
Kalu in the past few weeks have gone into
hiding, as he no longer appears publicly
in Nigeria, as was the case some months
ago.
The family of the deceased it was reliably
gathered has petitioned President
Goodluck Jonathan and the IG on the
issue. A source at the IG's office
confirmed that the petition has been
received and the IG is said to be working
on the case discreetly.
Kalu has already given good amount of

Landlord Sends Nollywood Actor Emeka Ike Packing Over Failure To Pay N8.5 Million For His Rented Apartment

According to the Sun….
Nollywood actor, Emeka Ike who has
been thrown out of his rented apartment
in Magodo GRA, Ikeja, Lagos, over his
inability to pay an accumulated three year
rent of N8.5 million.
The apartment, a twin duplex located at 1,
Raji Oladimeji Street, Magodo GRA, was
until his ejection, used by Emeka to run
his business.
Emeka had in 2007 diversified by
establishing a secondary school named St
Nicholas College and decided to hire the
premises on a five-year lease agreement
from an 87-year-old retiree, Chief Samuel
Agboola Akintan at the rate of N2 million
per annum for the first two years and N3
million annually for the remaining three
years, bringing the total rent of five years
to N13 million.
Saturday Sun gathered that Emeka was
able to get his landlord accept a deposit
of N2 million with a promise to pay the
rest later. Trouble, however, started when
a year after moving in, the popular actor
began to default and at a point issued a
dud cheque of N1.5 million.
To force Emeka to pay his money and
eject him from the property, Chief Akintan
through his company, Samak Investments
Ltd, had to drag the actor to the Ikeja
Magistrate court.Without much delay, the
court had on November 22, last year
ordered the actor to vacate the premises
but his refusal to heed the order led the
court Sheriff to carry out execution of the
judgment on January 24 this year when
his property was thrown out.
Speaking to Saturday Sun, the
octogenarian chairman of Samak
Investment Ltd, Chief Akintan wondered
why the actor chose to be a pain in his
neck
He said:
“I never knew this gentleman from Adam.
He just came to my house with his wife
and I was worried about who he was and
my children came to me, saying, Emeka
Ike, we know him daddy; he is a nice
gentleman. That is how I fell into his
hands.”
“When I wanted to take the matter to
court, Emeka wrote a letter on February
15, 2012, pleading that I’m his father and
that I should halt any court process
against him. Even this N2.5 million was
paid in 2011, a year to the expiration of
the five- year lease. After that, he issued a
N1.5 million Zenith bank, Eric Moore
branch cheque in my name, dated May
20, 2012, which bounced.“Some people
advised me to take him to Special Fraud
Unit (SFU) of the Nigeria police; I refused
because this boy is a young boy like my
son, why would I do that to him; that he
should leave my property.”
“After the cheque bounced, my lawyer
called him over the phone, he started
abusing me, threatening to deal with the
lawyer and me. I never looked at what he
was owing me in the past but should pay
this N1.5 million. If I were to calculate his
arrears, he has to pay far more but I am
just satisfied with this N1.5 million.”
He said the recommendation from his
children made him enter into the lease
agreement of five years which was to
expire in 2012. According to him,
“he was supposed to pay for the first two
years N2 million each per annum and the
subsequent three years N3 million per
annum. The total rent for that period of
five years should be N13 million. He paid
N2 million for the first year and never
paid again until three years later when he
paid only N4.5 million and the balance
should be N 8.5 million.”
“I can’t walk, so the two times I went
there, I was carried like a baby to the
court and Emeka didn’t come, but my
lawyer went there three times. The
magistrate at Igbosere wrote back to the
one at Ikeja to go ahead with the matter
since Emeka didn’t come.
“We went back to the first court and after
several adjournments, neither Emeka nor
his lawyer put up appearance and we
were asked to give our evidence and we
did, thereafter, the judgment was
delivered.
“To give Emeka another opportunity, we
got judgment in November 22, but the
magistrate in her wisdom said we should
give him one month to enable him to get
himself together and move out. We were
supposed to take possession by
December 20, 2013 but we didn’t until
January 24, when the Commissioner of
Police gave us three policemen led by an
Assistant Superintendent of Police to
follow the Court Sheriff to eject him. They
ejected him and put his property
outside.”
When Emeka heard of this unsavoury
development, he was said to have gone to
Magodo police station and reported that
thugs invaded his property after which
the police arrested the two guards the
landlord had stationed there.
“When in January I went to the premises,
even the teachers complained that they
had never seen him for many months and
had not paid them salaries for nine
months.
“While I was in Ondo, I got a phone call
that Ekeka came to Lagos and went to
Magodo police station and reported that
thugs invaded his property. Police went
there and arrested the guards and he put
his own guards and locked the place.”
Sounding emotional, Chief Akintan said:
“I’m a sick man; diabetic for 37 years. I
will be 87 by my next birthday and can’t
walk. I live at the grace of doctors and
what nature can allow me to have. I’m
immobile. I had to come back to Lagos to
start another process to dislodge him.
When I spoke to the DPO, Magodo police
station and tendered documents, he said,
so, ‘Emeka came here to tell him lies.’
“We have filed a contempt of court against
him. We have taken possession of the
property and about renovating it.
He is going about telling people that the
place was not completed when he moved
in that he put over N200 million to build
it. He has done a lot of damage to the
property. I sent my contractor to assess
the damage; he told me that I needed
between N10 million and N13 million for
renovation.
“I have sympathy for Emeka, but
unfortunately, he has no sympathy for
himself. Emeka went to court to plead
that the judgment should be set aside,
that I received a kangaroo judgment; that
the case should be retried. The court
dismissed it, saying it was abuse of court
process.
I don’t know what Emeka would do again.
I have never seen a character like that
before.
“His former landlord, Dr Shofoluwe was
in the same position with me. He is
looking for Emeka to pay N3.5 million rent
arrears. He was ejected legally. This is the
type of man coming to trouble me now
and I don’t need cheap publicity.”
When Emeka Ike was contacted, he said
“there is a position now, because I don’t
want people who have not achieved
anything in their lives to use unnecessary
distractions to gain prominence. It is my
money and investments and it is not a
national crisis.
Maybe people who think I have a larger
than life image are trying to use it to
make a point and I want to handle it as
legal as possible.”
He noted that there can be challenges in
business, stressing that he is still in
possession of the school.He added that
only two entities can close down a school,
either the government or the owner of the
school stressing that none of that has
happened.
“I’m still in possession of the school. It is
only the government that has the right to
shut down the school if it feels that I’m
not capable and I, as the CEO, if I feel
that I can’t do it again. Nobody can shut
down the school and the case is in court.
It should not be seen as a national crisis,
I have my business in Abuja and I’m
doing very well and right now I don’t like
distraction,”

Popular R&B singer Praiz Adejo has
managed to raise the money needed for
post-surgery treatment of the little girl.
In February 2014 the celebrity released
some advertisement on his various social
media platforms, offering 100% of the
revenue from the sales of his callertune
‘Oshé’ towards post-operative care for a
baby girl who had just completed an
operation to treat a serious heart
condition (a hole in her heart).
The girl, named Somaya Olayinka Dahli
underwent a successful heart surgery in
late 2013. However, her parents were
informed that afterwards she would need
an expensive treatment treatment,
monitoring and care to keep her alive.
When Praiz learnt about the situation, he
immediately decided to help the family.
Now it has been announced that Praiz
successfully raised the sum of N10 Million
via the callertune project.
According to X3M Music act Praiz, “It was
sad seeing Somaya go through all that
pain. She’s a little girl who shouldn’t
suffer like that.”
The grateful parents have already been
presented with the money, which will
cover all the medical bills.

Nigerian Government Closes Cameroon Border Over Boko Haram

The Federal Government of Nigeria has
sealed its northern border with Cameroon
in an effort to shut out terrorists using its
neighbour as a launchpad for attacks.
The closure extends from Borno State, by
Lake Chad, to the southern end of
Adamawa State, around halfway along
Nigeria’s 1,500-mile border with
Cameroon.
A statement issued by the Commandant
23 Armoured Brigade, Brigadier-General
Rogers Ibe Nicholas said that the closure
is meant to effectively curtail the activities
of the insurgents.
Borno and Adamawa states are covered
by a State of Emergency that President
Goodluck Jonathan declared last May as
part of an offensive meant to crush the
Boko Haram sect.
“To effectively curtail the activities of the
insurgents, the Cameroon border in the
northeast has been closed indefinitely,”
Brigadier-General Rogers Ibe Nicholas
said in a statement.
The Islamists, whose struggle for an
Islamic state in northern Nigeria has
killed thousands and made them the
biggest threat to security in Africa’s top
oil producer, are currently based in the
hilly Gwoza area next to Cameroon.
Nigerian security officials say they often
launch deadly attacks then flee over the
border to avoid being pursued.
They killed more than 200 people in two
attacks last week on villages, prompting
renewed criticisms that military action has
failed to neutralize them.

BREAKING NEWS: President of Uganda Signs Anti-Homosexuality Bill into law

Uganda's President Museveni has signed
the country's anti-gay bill into law,
despite warnings from US President
Barack Obama that it would “complicate
our valued relationship” and will mark a
“step backward” for all Ugandans and
reflect poorly on the country’s
commitment to protect the human rights
of its people.”
The bill states that first-time offenders
will be sentenced to 14 years in jail. Then
life imprisonment for repeat offenders, as
well as acts involving a minor, a disabled
person or where one partner is infected
with HIV.
The bill originally proposed the death
penalty for some homosexual acts, but
that was later removed amid international
criticism.
In December last year, Uganda’s
Parliament passed the bill but President
Yoweri Museveni said he would only sign
the bill into law if he had proof that gay
people are ‘made’ and ‘not born’ into
their sexuality. And last week he changed
his stand, saying a team of Ugandan
scientists had reported that there is no
evidence that homosexuality is caused by
genetics.
However, over the weekend in South
Africa, former archbishop Desmond Tutu
had criticised President Museveni for
supporting the bill, describing it as “evil”.

Arrested World’s Most Wanted Drug Lord El Chapo Had 43 Vehicles & 16 Houses

Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman Loera has
been revealed after his starting Friday

As Mexican police begin investigating El
Chapo, or “Shorty,” they’ve found out he
owned 46 vehicles, 16 houses, and 4
ranches, the Forbes web site has
reported.
What’s more, he had apparently evaded
arrest by living in seven of his houses
which were connected by tunnels in the
showers of the homes! The Mexican
Attorney General announced that
authorities had captured Guzman as part
of a joint Mexican and U.S. operation and
no shots were fired as he was
apprehended at a party in Mazatlan.
In addition to his properties, authorities
seized a large cache of the Sinaloa cartel
drug lord’s weapons, including long arms,
handguns and grenade and rocket
launchers.
Billionaire Guzman, who is 56 and stands
5’6″, has allegedly become the biggest
drug trafficker of all time.
His cartel is reportedly responsible for
about 25 percent of all illegal drugs that
come into the U.S. from Mexico. And
now, the U.S. is seeking his extradition.

Judge Orders Unemployed Men To Stop Having Séx As They Cannot Pay Child Support

A man was jailed after failing to pay his
child support.
During sentencing, Judge Abednico
Ndebele said that being unemployed is
not an excuse for not taking care of
children.
Unemployed men were surprised when
Ndebele said that they should stop having
sx, as it could lead to pregnancy and not
paying child support.
“If you are unemployed, you should not
have sx and stay away from women since
you can no longer afford to care for
children,” Ndebele said.
Zivanai Chitima of Bulawayo, Zimbabwe,
was held in contempt of court after he
stopped paying $55 a month in child
support to his former wife.
Chitima reportedly owes his estranged
wife $375 in back child support.
He was ordered to pay or face jail time.
The man had argued that he could not
afford to pay $55 each month to his wife
Ndanetsei Nyandoro because he does not
have a job.
The judge sentenced Chitima to 3 months
in jail after which he will have to find a
way to pay his child support.

65-Year Old Man And His 3 Sons Have Been Arrested For Armed Robbery In Asaba, Delta State

A man has been arrested in Asaba, Delta
State along with his 3 sons for armed
robbery.
Also arrested were three other robbery
suspects, who were dislodged from an
uncompleted building allegedly provided
by the 65-year-old father of three.
State Police Public Relations Officer,
PPRO, Celestina Kalu, who paraded the
suspects at the Police ‘B’ Division, Asaba,
weekend, said: “We are taking the fight to
their (criminal) hideouts, so there is no
hiding place for criminal elements.
Wherever they are we will smoke them
out.”
She said the suspects (names withheld)
were arrested following a distress call by
a resident at Oduke, outskirts of Asaba,
who was attacked at night and N72,000
cash stolen from him.
“Following the distress call, a police team
was drafted to the area from B Division
Asaba and on sighting the police, the
robbers fired at them and there was a
gun battle in which two of the robbers
were brought down while some of them
escaped,” the PPRO said.
She added that the father of the
suspected three robbers was habouring
the criminal gang in his uncompleted
building .
Meantime, a boy has been arrested at
Ogwashi-Uku, in Delta State for allegedly
stabbing another boy to death following a
minor quarrel over a lover.
Report said the incident took place at
Ogbe-Ofu area of Ogwashi-Uku where the
suspect was said to have met the victim in
the woman’s house and a fight ensued.

A man was found guilty of raping his
girlfriend's mother.
A court in Luding County, Sichuan
Province, China, sentenced the man to 4
years in prison after he raped the mother
of his girlfriend.
The court was told that the 30-year-old
man, identified as Li, was angry when his
girlfriend's mother would not approve his
marriage to her daughter. As a way to get
revenge he proceeded to rape her.
Li had been dating his girlfriend, Huang,
for many years and the couple lived
together for four years.
The two have a daughter together and
planned to get married, but that never
materialized because of Huang’s mother
Zhang, who strongly opposed the
relationship.
One night, Zhang went to her daughter’s
house. Later, Li asked her if she could
help him with moving a tire.
He then took her to an old building,
began beating her and threatened her
with a knife before raping her.
Zhang called the police with the support
of family members, and Li was arrested
shortly thereafter.

Ebube Nwagbo Denies Moving Into Kcee’s House

News broke out that Nollywood actress
Ebube Nwagbo has moved in with her ex-
boyfriend, Limpopo crooner Kcee. But
when she was contacted on telephone by
Vanguard to confirm the story, Ebube
denied the allegation, insisting that she's
still living in her house in the mainland.
“I am in my house in the mainland.
I didn’t move into Kcee’s house in
Lekki. He is a married
man. Let’s stop all these misleading
stories. I am currently on set,” she
reacted.
Ebube Nwagbo and the ‘Limpopo’ crooner
used to be an item before the latter
ended their relationship in 2010 when he
got married to his wife, Ijeoma. Vanguard
reports Kcee's marriage to Ijeoma who
has kids for him, however, crashed later
on.

University Student Sentenced To Death For Poisoning His Roommate

The former Fudan University student who
killed his roommate by poisoning him and
insisting it was 'an April Fool's joke' gone
wrong was sentenced to death at
Shanghai No. 2 Intermediate People's
Court this week.
The postgraduate medical student Lin
Senhaou, 28, was arrested in April when
his roommate, Huang Yang, fell ill after
drinking from a water dispenser in his
dorm room and died several days later
due to organ failure caused by poisoning.
Lin told police that he'd stolen the toxic
chemical N-Nitrosodimethylamin from a
lab at Zhongshan hospital and dropped
around 50 milliliters into the water
dispenser the two shared in their dorm
room.
Prosecutors said that Lin should have
known the amount was fatal, and believe
that he intended to kill his roommate
because he stayed silent as Huang's
condition worsened.
Huang became sick after drinking the
poisoned water on April 1, and died 15
days later. Lin didn't immediately confess
his involvement until he was detained on
April 12, when he told authorities that the
poisoning was a spur-of-the-moment act
after hearing Huang's talk about April
Fool's Day.
"April Fool’s was coming, and Huang Yang
said he planned to play tricks on others,
so I thought, fine, I will give you one
first,” Lin told the court. “I heard Huang
drinking water from the dispenser. He
took a mouthful of water and spat it out,”
Lin said.
Although he heard his roommate
vomiting, he didn't say anything to him
out of fear of getting in trouble.
“I pretended to be asleep because I was
afraid he would ask me about the water.”
Huang's father hoped Lin would receive
the death sentence, as he previously told
Shanghai Daily—"a life for a

Designer Sued Nicki Minaj For 'Stealing' Wig Designs

Nicki Minaj's former hairstylist has sued
the star for selling wigs based on his
designs. Terrence Davidson made wigs for
the singer - who is known for her
flamboyant hairpieces - from 2010, the
year her platinum-selling debut album
Pink Friday was released.
The wigs were a large part of the physical
transformation that helped catapult her
to superstardom. In the lawsuit, Mr
Davidson says he and Minaj's
representatives discussed launching a
reality TV show or creating a new wig line.
Instead, Mr Davidson said he was later
ignored by Minaj who went on to sell
branded wigs for massive profits on her
website. He accuses her of harming his
business.
In the lawsuit accessed by Time magazine,
Mr Davidson's lawyer said: "Her lawyers
may complicate it, but we don’t need to
get into intellectual property law. This is
basic American morality. Nicki Minaj lied
to this man and cheated him."
His lawyers added that Mr Davidson
created "fresh, hip and unique wigs" that
"significantly contributed to Minaj’s
unsurpassed notoriety for her wigs".

Pastor’s Wife Killed By University Drop-out For Refusing To Be Raped in Akure

A 25-year old University drop-out
identified as Jerry has murdered in cold
blood the wife of a pastor, Mrs Eunice
Ajayi 55-years for refusing to be raped.
The suspected killer was said to have
been rusticated from two institutions in
the state for being a member of a secret
cult.
Saturday Vanguard gathered that the
deceased was hacked to death on the ill
fated day when she refused to be raped
by the suspect who is now on the run.
The deceased husband who rushed to the
scene to save his dying wife was also
matchetted by the suspect and is
presently hospitalised.
Eyewitness account informed Vanguard
that alleged killer visited the house of the
Pastor located at Peace-land Road,along
the Expressway in Akure metropolis and
attempted to rape the deceased.
Jerry who has been eyeing the woman
reportedly came that day with the sole
purpose of having his way but the
Pastor’s wife resisted.
This according to report infuriated the
suspect who reportedly brought out a
machete which he used to hack the
deceased .
Several machete cuts were inflicted on the
deceased by the furious killer.
Her distress cries and shout for help
attracted the husband who rushed to the
room only to meet his wife in her own
pool of blood.
The husband was also attacked by the
suspect while trying to save the wife from
the killer.
After attacking both the wife and the
husband the suspect reportedly took to
his heels while attempt by some students
residing in the area to apprehend him
failed.
The wife of the pastor was said to have
died before help could come neighbours
who rushed to the scene following the
shout and cries from the couple.
Contacted the Police image maker Wole
Ogodo said that the suspect is still on the
run and that he would soon be tracked
down and prosecuted.
Ogodo said that “ we discovered that the
suspect attempted to rape the deceased
because her pant was half-removed by
the suspect, later our men visited the
house of Jerry but he has fled.
” Investigation has commenced on the
matter and we have put all necessary
machinery in place to apprehend him and
bring him to justice . “
Ogodo said that the remains of the
deceased had been deposited at the
mortuary of the State Specialists Hospital
in Akure.
